Hip-Hop superproducer Prince Paul teams up with Trip-Hop wizard, Automator, to form the Handsome Boy Modelling school. Both of them are on some other shit, and together they have made an album that successfully combines both genres and makes for very interesting listening. Automator keeps Paul from going overboard with the skits and concepts, while Paul keeps the beats from becoming too abstract for most heads. Del, Brand Nubian, Trugoy (among others) are brought in and bless a few of noteworthy tracks, helping to make this one of the most solid Hip-Hop/Trip-Hop fusion albums ever. [8/10] |
